Stuey,the character I designed for the Dutch Open University, plays an important role in student magazine Modulair.
Stuey plays a monthly part in student magazine Modulair, for all students of theOpen University Netherlands. Stuey is a medium for the OU to communicate all kinds of information that is of importance to students of this distance learning institute. Stuey has a cartoon in the magazine Modulair, and an animation on the website in e-modulair . Stuey might be a bit cocky and obnoxious sometimes, he is also very intelligent, and participates in just about every study on offer.
This cartoon is in Dutch, it is not always an improvement to translate, but in this cartoon Stuey is ready for summer vacation, but becauseh he is slightly stressed out about the last exams and things to do, he has no time to make plans for the summer. Luckily his buddy and dog Perro, arranges for Stuey to take part in a stress management course offered by the Open University.

Stuey, de eigenwijze mascotte van de Open Universiteit Nederland heeft een eigen cartoon in studentenmagazine Modulair.
Stuey speelt iedere maand een rol in het magazine Modulair, voor alle studenten van Open Universiteit Nederland. Stuey is een medium voor de OU om allerlei zaken die van belang zijn voor de student op een leuke manier onder de aandacht te brengen. Omdat de Open Universiteit een instituut voor afstandsstudies is, is het van belang zaken die voor de studenten van belang zijn goed te communiceren. Stuey heeft een cartoon in het magazine Modulair, en een animatie op de website in e-modulair.

Numbers in annual report become colourful infographics
Social housing corporation Ymere
asked me to reproduce all the numbers for their annual report of the past year in infographics, that had to be pleasant to look at, and at the same time present their results for the past year. This has resulted in a large number of infographics in the annual report about their activities for the past year. Also their social activities (playgrounds, renovations, monument care etc.) had to be stressed.The infographic shown above shows all objects Ymere owns in the Netherlands on a map. Objects such as houses, garages and retirement homes are displayed as icons on the map. When the report is published I will show the other infographics .

Cijfertjes in jaarverslag woningbouwvereniging op een aansprekende manier weergegeven
Voor woningbouwvereniging Ymere
kreeg ik de opdracht om de cijfers over het afgelopen jaar voor het jaarverslag op een aansprekende en leesbare manier weer te geven. Dit heeft geresulteerd in alle infographics in het jaarverslag over de activiteiten van Ymere. Ook de vele nevenactiviteiten en sociale activiteiten (zoals kinderspeelplaatsen, sportprojecten en monumentenzorg) van de woningbouwvereniging zijn hierin benadrukt. Bovenstaande infographic toont alle objecten die de Ymere heeft, woningen, parkeergarages, bejaardenwoningen, monumenten etc. zijn dmv iconen op de verschillende locaties weergegeven. Wanneer het jaarverslag gepubliceerd is zal ik de andere infographics laten zien.

Two illustrations for de Volkskrant newspaper special, one of which is the cover

I was asked by de Volkskrant newspaper to make two illustrations for their wednesday ‘Living’ special ‘2.’ The illustrations were based on the article about customized buidling and living, which apparently is the latest trend. It is not certain in which issue these illustrations will appear, but keep an eye on de Volkskrant newspaper in the next couple of weeks!

Twee illustraties voor Volkskrant bijlage 2, waaronder de cover

Voor de Volkskrant heb ik een cover gemaakt voor de bijlage 2, die op woensdagen verschijnt met het thema ‘Huis.’ Wanneer deze bijlage precies verschijnt is op dit moment nog een raadsel, maar houd de Volkskrant in de gaten komende weken. Uitgangspunt voor de illustratie is de trend om customized te wonen en bouwen.
