In order to motivate entrepeneurs to use their expertise and offer their services to the WC 2014 in Brazil, I made this spread for BM Magazine, in the form of a boardgame. Art direction by Tigges Communications. So…go ahead, take your chances, but play the game first! Click here for a larger version.

Ancient illustrations in London…
Tuesday, May 19th, 2009
Just returned from a wonderful break in London, one of my favourite cities in the world. There is always so much to see and to do…it seems endless.
In between dining at the Ritz (!) to celebrate my 30th birthday, and shopping at Liberty (a bar of soap was all I could afford) we had the chance to visit the British Museum. The collection is impressive and enormous, containing a vast amount of artefacts from all times and places.
The Egyptian collection is really fascinating. Thousands of years ago, before people could write, illustrations were used to communicate stories and their religion. Some hieroglyphs communicate stronger than today’s corporate logos. The style of the illustrations inspiring thousands years later. Pictured is the Papyrus from the Book of the Dead of Nedjmet. This scene shows Nedjmet and Herihor, her husband (whose burial has never been found) making offerings to Osiris, Isis and the four sons of Horus, who are also watching a small scene of weighing the heart.
