Infographic for Computable Magazine on Olympic IT
This week the Olympic winter games in Vancouver will begin! All eyes will be on Vancouver to see which athletes will win the gold, silver and bronze. At the same time, a lot is going on behind the scenes of course. Atos/Origin will be responsible for the IT for this event, as they have been for all Olympic games since 2002. made this infographic for IT magazine and website Computable about Atos/Origin’s involvement in the Olympic games. Beelden uit storyboard voor instructionele animatie voor bibliotheken 
Media lenen bij een bibliotheek stoffig en ouderwets? In ieder geval niet bij de bibliotheken van Zwolle en Deventer. Hun website is dynamisch en up-to-date, en alle processen voor het lenen, terugbrengen en verlengen van media (want boeken mogen we niet zeggen!) is volledig geautomatiseerd. Om deze processen duidelijk te maken voor de bezoekers van deze bibliotheken, ben ik gevraagd door Virvie en info.nl om een instructionele animatie te maken die de werking van de automaten voor het lenen en terugbrengen van media duidelijk maakt. De animatie is binnenkort online, maar bij deze alvast een preview!

Storyboard images for a new instructional animation for Dutch libraries Lending media at a library dusty and dated? Definitely not the case in the libraries of Zwolle and Deventer. Their website is dynamic and up-to-date, and all their processes for lending, returning and extending media (because we can’t say books!) is fully automated. In order to make these processes understandable to the customers of these libraries, I was asked by Virvie and info.nl to make an instructional animation of the selfservice process of lending and returning media. The animation will be online soon, but here is a preview!

Book publishers combine forces in new online bookshop
This infographic was created for a cooperative of independent bookpublishers WPG, who have joined forces in order to distribute their books on internet.
The unique thing about their system, is the customer can either choose to have the book delivered to their home, or see if the book is available in any bookstore close to their home, and if not, have it delivered there. Click the image to see it a bit larger.

Illustration for American health-care cooperative Group Health
This illustration was made for an article in American Health Insurance Company ‘Group Health’ magazine. Because of the anticipation of the H1N1 flu virus (or swine flu virus), an article was published describing precautions to take against infection with germs: washing hands, keep open cuts covered, wear a facemask and cough into your elbow or a tissue. So pay close attention and keep those germs away!

Infographic voor Computable brengt Hudson observatie in kaart.
Deze infographic voor Computable laat de IBM technologie zien die gebruikt wordt voor de observatie van de Hudson rivier in New York State. Een complex netwerk van mobile sensoren verzamelt data over de vervuiling van het water, de migratie van vissen en de stand van het ecosysteem in de rivier. Deze infographic is geplaatst in Computable tijdschrift en website.

Infographic for Computable showing river observation process.
This infographic for Computable Magazine shows the technology used for the observation of the River Hudson in New York State. A complicated network of mobile sensors collect data and show the rivers water quality, fish migration etc. and gives a detailed view of the rivers ecosystem. This infographic was printed in Computable IT magazine.

Financieel en sociaal jaarverslag met illustraties en infographics
Het jaarverslag voor woningcorporatie Ymere is onlangs uitgekomen, met daarin financiële resulataten en sociale projecten. Ik kreeg eerder dit jaar de opdracht om infographics en illustraties voor verschillende spreads in dat jaarverslag te maken, een voorbeeld van één van deze infographics is ook hier
te zien.

Numbers in annual report become colourful infographics
Social housing corporation Ymere
asked me to reproduce all the numbers for their annual report of the past year in infographics, that had to be pleasant to look at, and at the same time present their results for the past year. This has resulted in a large number of infographics in the annual report about their activities for the past year. Also their social activities (playgrounds, renovations, monument care etc.) had to be stressed.The infographic shown above shows all objects Ymere owns in the Netherlands on a map. Objects such as houses, garages and retirement homes are displayed as icons on the map. When the report is published I will show the other infographics .
